Summary of Digital Lab: Natural Selection
Summary
The Natural Selection virtual lab allows students the opportunity to investigate into how natural selection leads to the predominance of certain traits in a population, and the suppression of others. Therefore, through this virtual lab, students will discover that environmental factors (e.g. foliage and temperature) influence whether each variation of Slinquette will never appear, go extinct, be endangered, survive, expand, or thrive in a specific environment.
Driving Questions
- Investigate the optimal amount of foliage for the green, long furred slinquette population.
- Investigate the optimal amount of foliage for the red, short furred slinquette population.
- Investigate the optimal temperature for the green, short furred slinquette population.
- Investigate the optimal temperature for the red, long furred slinquette population.
